Backpacking Europe Part 7: Germany and England

This is the final installment of this magical month tramping around Europe! It's been really fun for me to live back through our trip to tell the story of it, and I hope it's been enjoyable for you to read. We only have two more countries left at this point to share, but lots of adventures within as Germany had two different city stops with a detour in between to a separate town, and England includes a day trip out of London with three big stops. That said, this post is full of lots of detailed info and pictures, so grab a cup of coffee and sit back and dive in...

Backpacking Europe Part 6: Hungary and Czechia

Hello, country #9...Hungary. After leaving Athens, we were bound for Budapest! Now...we didn't have a big agenda for here. There are lots of things to see here which I do hate that we missed. It's a beautiful city with lots of gorgeous architecture. It was a friendly place and overall lovely. But our destination? The spa.

Backpacking Europe Part 5: Santorini and Athens

I decided to change up the picture for this post. We are continuing on with the recap of our trip, and this part of  it was so dreamy (as if the whole entire trip wasn't)! I can't believe that it's been a couple of months now back home. I still cannot get over this month abroad was life-changing, a special milestone, and it shifted me in the best way possible. I'm just really aware and grateful. Now we visit our next country...

Backpacking Europe Part 4: Italy and Croatia

The next stops on our backpacking adventure: Italy and Croatia!! As much as we loved Spain, we were so thankful to be able to get out of there and make it to Italy without too big of a hiccup in our itinerary. A little side story...

Backpacking Europe Part 3: Switzerland and Spain

OK, if you are just catching up, so far our trip has taken us to New York City, London, and Paris. After being in the big cities and metro areas, we needed some fresh air. Good thing we were headed to Switzerland!

Backpacking Europe Part 2: London and Paris

Alright, we arrived in London from our overnight flight and we were ready to get the real party started. :) If you missed part 1, I sort of introduced our trip and included a recap of our NYC portion. You can read it here. Otherwise, here is the next part of our trip: London and Paris:

Backpacking Europe Part 1: Intro and NYC

We planned and took the trip of our lives this summer! It was a huge bucket list trip with a lot of other smaller things checked off the life goals list as well. And over a month later from returning home, I have finally gotten my thoughts, notes, and photos collected somewhat enough to be able to write about it...

Sitka, Alaska

A few weeks ago we island hopped up north to see another part of the great state of Alaska. Sitka is on another island and can only be reached by plane or boat. We flew from Ketchikan which was less than an hour in the air, and thanks to some bonus miles with Alaska Airlines, it was only $11 each round trip. So we could not pass up the opportunity! We only had a couple of days to see the town which was enough because it's pretty small and we walked mostly everywhere. The day we planned to hike was pretty foggy so we instead rented a car at the last minute and drove the extent of the road system.
I particularly loved Sitka because of the history...which I will talk about some below. Enjoy the pictures of our trip to Sitka, AK!!

Dad and Sis in Ketchikan

Last month my dad and sister got to come up to Ketchikan! Living far away from home, even with meeting all kinds of amazing people and having all the incredible experiences that we have and create, can sometimes be isolating. Every now and then, it is nice to have a small taste of home...and that happened for me when they got to come visit. :)

I'm a little late getting caught up on my posts thanks to my laptop crashing. But better late than here's a little recap of our week...

Moving to Alaska

In usual Landon and Morgan fashion, our move to Alaska was somewhat of a logistical chaos...but when do we make it any other way? I'm learning each and every move that it's part of the process and part of the beauty of this journey. Because when is a journey ever smooth and perfect anyways? There will always be detours, delays, complications, surprises, and changes. The sooner I accept and embrace this, the more beautiful this life can become.
